BY Ventures LLC was founded in New York City with a simple premise: institutions making large, irreversible infrastructure decisions deserve an advisor with no stake in the outcome other than getting it right for them.
Ten years later, that premise has not changed, even as the market around it has. We have advised clients through the rise of hyperscale leasing, the colocation consolidation wave, the return of on-premise high-density computing for AI workloads, and the steady tightening of regulatory expectations around data infrastructure at regulated financial institutions.
What has stayed constant is who we work for. We are retained directly by the institution making the decision. We do not accept referral fees, broker commissions, or placement incentives from data center operators, colocation providers, or hyperscale platforms. That independence is structural, not promotional — it is the reason institutions with the most to lose continue to retain us.
