Founder & Managing Partner

Michael Bennett founded BY Ventures with the vision of delivering independent, strategic advisory services to organizations investing in mission-critical digital infrastructure. With over 18 years of experience across data center development, institutional real estate, and infrastructure investments, he has advised hyperscale operators, financial institutions, and enterprise clients on site selection, acquisitions, and portfolio expansion. Prior to launching BY Ventures, Michael held senior leadership roles at a global data center platform and an international real estate advisory firm, where he led transactions exceeding $3 billion in total value.

Sarah Mitchell

Partner, HPC & Infrastructure Strategy

Sarah Mitchell leads the firm’s High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Infrastructure Strategy practice. She brings more than 15 years of experience in hyperscale infrastructure planning, mission-critical engineering, and power and cooling optimization. Before joining BY Ventures, Sarah worked with leading engineering and technology organizations delivering large-scale data center projects across North America and Europe. She is recognized for helping clients design resilient, energy-efficient infrastructure that supports AI, cloud, and HPC workloads while maintaining long-term operational efficiency.

David Chen

Partner, Capital Markets & Transactions

David Chen oversees Capital Markets & Transactions, advising institutional investors, private equity firms, REITs, and enterprise clients on complex infrastructure investments. With over 16 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, real estate capital markets, and infrastructure finance, he has structured and executed transactions involving data centers, digital infrastructure, and mission-critical assets valued at more than $5 billion. Prior to BY Ventures, David held investment banking and advisory roles with globally recognized financial institutions, providing strategic guidance on acquisitions, capital raising, and portfolio optimization.

Because we operate as a boutique firm by design, every client works directly with the partner responsible for the engagement, supported by a small team of analysts and technical specialists scoped to the specific assignment.
